M Public Relations NEW site!

After much anticipation I am happy to reveal the NEW website of Vancouver, BC public relations company - M P R. They wanted something clean, modern and androgynous, with a flash of purple. To match their fabulous logo, created by a Vancouver graphic designer. So this is what we ended up with:

We also added a wicked slideshow for the home page and a twitter feed. Looks awesome! SO happy to have been able to work with Morgan and Mieka and I wish them the best of luck on their new endeavour!

Tim Eliot Actor Site

Just finished up a site for Tim Eliot an actor in NYC. He had very clear ideas on what the site should look like and pretty much designed it. I just built his vision!  I added a cool slideshow and used google fonts with jquery for his press page, to make different looking fonts. Check it out!

Just came across my good friends pr site. M Public Relations in Vancouver, Canada. It's so simple and easy and gorgeous! And I can't wait to build something just like it!

As they say - good designers borrow, great designers steal... ;)

Thanks for the inspiration M!

Easy contact forms

A contact form is so ideal for a website. Especially for an actor. It makes you look professional and you can still keep your privacy by not having to show your email address on your site. Also - a contact form is a great tool against hackers, if they can't see your email address, they can't spam it. For extra protection, adding a "captcha" style box at the end of your form, really deters the spammers even more, as a computer has a hard time typing out a specific word.

There are  a lot of ways to create a contact form, you can go the good old php route for ex... But recently I stumbled across a site called JOTFORM. It's free and easy to use. It also has a ton of possibilities,  both design wise and content wise. It allows you to embed your easily created form into your site in multiple ways, as a lightbox, an iframe and more.

Let's hope it lives up to my expectations!
